Joe’s disciplined approach to the law was forged in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as an active duty Judge Advocate. Representing hundreds of clients as a Legal Assistance Attorney and Defense Counsel, Joe learned early on that the best outcomes require meticulous preparation and unwavering integrity.
His service earned him the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Following his military service, Joe entered civil practice in Houston, where he quickly rose to Partner at one of Texas’s premier personal injury firms.
He has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict, earning Board Certification in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization—a distinction held by less than 2% of Texas attorneys.

Although Joe has won many trials in the courtroom, his true passion lies in resolving disputes before they get there. His interest in alternative dispute resolution began in the Mediation Clinic at South Texas College of Law Houston and has evolved into a career dedicated to efficiency.

At Jones & Koch, he utilizes this unique blend of legal experience and technological innovation to act as a "Settlement Architect," getting involved early to save clients time, money, and emotional energy.

Joe earned his B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University (Class of '08) and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law (Class of '10).
When he is not working, Joe is a devoted husband to his wife and business partner, Chrysa, and a proud father. He recharges by skiing, playing music, and cheering on the Aggies and Houston sports teams.
